Public cautioned over false statements from Osebo, others on Apostle Safo

The family of Prof. Dr Eng. Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka has cautioned the public and media against individuals issuing statements on behalf of the Kantanka family without authorisation.
In a statement, the family expressed concern over what it described as “misleading and unauthorised publications” being circulated in the name of the revered inventor and industrialist.
“We wish to make it clear that only officially designated family representatives or recognised Kantanka executives are permitted to speak on matters concerning Apostle Safo or the Kantanka brand,” the family noted. “Any statements made outside these channels should be disregarded.”
The family urged the public to verify all information from official Kantanka platforms and warned individuals making such false representations to desist immediately.
“Our focus remains on preserving Apostle Safo’s legacy and advancing his vision through the right channels,” the statement added.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Unauthorised Statements by Persons Not Representing the Family of Prof. Dr. Eng. Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka
Essumeja, Asante-Bekwai – 1st November, 2025
The family of the late Prof. Dr. Eng. Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, Founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana, wishes to address recent public statements and media reports circulating in connection with family matters following his passing.
In accordance with Asante-Aduana clan tradition, matters of bereavement are solemnly managed by the immediate and extended family under the guidance of the Abusuapanin (family head). It is, therefore, a long-held cultural principle that all official communications, decisions, and public statements regarding the deceased must emanate solely from authorized family representatives.
The family has noted with concern that certain individuals have made unauthorized statements purporting to represent the views or positions of the Safo family. The public and the media are hereby strongly advised to disregard any such statements that do not come from recognized and authorized members of the family.
Specifically, the family wishes to clarify that Mr. Seth Appiah Richard Brown, popularly known as Osebo, though a member of the Kristo Asafo Church, is not a member of the Safo family and holds no official position within the family structure. Consequently, any comments, pronouncements, or claims made by him or any other unauthorized persons in relation to family matters do not represent the official position of the Safo family.
The family expresses its deep appreciation to the Kristo Asafo Church, well-wishers, and the general public for their continued support, prayers, and solidarity, especially during the 40-day memorial celebration held in honour of the late Prof. Dr. Eng. Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka. The outpouring of love and respect from Ghanaians across all walks of life remains a source of great comfort and strength to the family.
The Safo family remains committed to upholding the legacy, values, and teachings of the late Apostle, and will continue to communicate officially through recognized channels when necessary.
