PURC announces 2.45% increase in electricity tariffs from July 1

The Public Utility Regulatory Authority has announced an increase in the electricity tariff.
The increase is expected to take effect on July 1, 2025.
The Authority, in a statement issued on June 25, 2025, said electricity users would experience a 2.45% increase.
The adjustment, which applies to residential, nonresidential, and special load tariff customers, is said to be based on a detailed analysis of macroeconomic and operational factors, including inflation, exchange rate fluctuations, and the rising cost of fuel.
However, there will be a 0% increase in water tariffs for the third quarter of 2025.
