MyNewsGh.com has learned of the death of Prof. Thomas Mba Akabzaa.
It is not clear what the cause of his death is.
Until his death, Prof. Thomas Mba Akabzaa was recently appointed Board Chairman of the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) by President John Dramani Mahama.
He once served as the chief director at the Energy Ministry.
Prof. held Bachelors and PhD degrees in Geology with Physics and Geology, respectively, from the University of Ghana and a Masters Degree in Mining Engineering with Mineral Economics specialty from McGill University, Canada.
