President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has condemned the racial attack on Ghanaian footballer Antoine Semenyo.
It will be remembered that during the Liverpool vrs Bourmouth game on Friday, Ghana striker, Semenyo was racially abused by a fan of Liverpool.
The attacks continued on social media after the game.
He, however, moved on to score two goals in the game.
In a post shared via social media, Ghana Football Association’s president Kurt Okraku condemned the action of the racist.
To him, racism and bigotry have no place in football and must not be encouraged adding that football must always be a unifying force.

In Solidarity with Antoine Semenyo
As President of the Ghana Football Association, I wish to extend my full support and solidarity to our Black Stars forward, Antoine Semenyo, who was subjected to racial abuse during the season opener against Liverpool at Anfield.
Racism and bigotry have no place in football or in any part of our society. What happened was unacceptable and deeply regrettable.
Yet, what inspires me most is not the incident itself, but Antoine’s awesome response. In the face of provocation, he chose grace, dignity, and strength of character. On the pitch, he reminded the world of his brilliance with two goals. Off it, he reminded us of the true essence of football — respect, tolerance, and unity that transcends race, nationality, and background.
Antoine’s statement was powerful: instead of dwelling on hate, he chose to celebrate the solidarity of the football community and the love for the beautiful game. That is the mark not only of a great footballer but also of a great man.
On behalf of the football family in Ghana, I say to you, Antoine: we are proud of you, we stand with you, and we continue the fight against racism together.
Football must remain the unifying force that brings people from all walks of life together.
