Reports of Akufo-Addo investigation are false – Kwakye Ofosu

Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has refuted claims that the Presidency has ordered an investigation into former President Nana Akufo-Addo.
In a statement on Friday, March 28, he dismissed the reports as baseless and called on the public to disregard them.
According to Kwakye Ofosu, there has been no directive for the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) to probe Akufo-Addo’s travels.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the Presidency has not given any order to the NIB to look into President Akufo-Addo’s travels,” he clarified.
His remarks follow circulating reports alleging that President John Mahama had instructed the NIB to examine the former president’s official travels.
While some sources claim this is part of efforts to ensure accountability in state resource management, government officials maintain that no such directive has been issued.
