Richard Nii Armah Quaye finally unveils Food Bank offering free meals to all

Entrepreneur and philanthropist Richard Nii Armah Quaye has launched a nationwide food bank initiative through the RNAQ Foundation, aiming to combat hunger and restore dignity to vulnerable communities.
The project, which kicked off on August 1, 2025, was unveiled at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.
Reflecting on his personal journey, Mr Quaye said, “I stand before you as a man who remembers what it feels like to be hungry—not just for food, but for hope and dignity. This isn’t just about feeding people; it’s about telling every Ghanaian they matter.”

The RNAQ Food Bank will provide free daily meals at various locations, including Korle-Gonno, Kasoa, Ashaiman, Odorkor, and Madina. Meals will be sourced from local food vendors, a deliberate move to support small businesses while ensuring quality nutrition.
The launch attracted support from public officials and development advocates. CEO of the National Youth Authority, Osman Abdulai Ayariga, described the initiative as timely, noting, “This food bank offers more than relief. It gives hope, and it will impact generations to come.”
Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture John Dumelo also praised the project, saying, “We must celebrate one man who is using his wealth well.
This food bank adds value to our national efforts to feed the country.” He jokingly added, “I’ll take my Ghana Card to the food bank so I can also enjoy a hot meal.”

Having stepped away from his leadership roles at Quick Angels and Bills MicroCredit earlier this year, Richard Quaye is now focusing on community empowerment. He stated, “Like Maslow, I believe access to food is a basic human right. As long as I have strength, we’ll keep expanding this project.”
