Right now, my currency is peace, not eye candy

In an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM monitored by MyNewsGh, renowned Nigerian actor Jim Iyke opened up about how his outlook on relationships and life has shifted dramatically over the years.

Reflecting on his growth and the lessons learned from past experiences, Jim explained that he no longer prioritizes physical attraction or surface-level thrills. Instead, he’s focused on emotional peace and meaningful partnership.

“So, the conversation shifted,” he began. “It wasn’t about how great we were in bed anymore. Now, it’s about peace. How much peace can you bring to me? How can we establish a home?”

The actor emphasized that a flashy lifestyle and spontaneity used to define his relationships, but not anymore.

“It was okay for you to point anywhere in the world and we’d go immediately. I was that kind of spontaneous guy. I’m still that guy, but now I think about the five international school fees I’m paying.”

Jim also reflected on some of the women from his past, acknowledging that while they may have been exciting at the time, they don’t fit into the man he has become.

“The currency is peace. Whoever brings it, that’s who matters now. We’ve been through the eye candies and the trophies. They’ve walked through us too. But you come out on the other side a far better person.”

Jim’s candid remarks have sparked discussion online, with many applauding his maturity and new perspective on love, success, and self-worth.
