Right procedure safeguards stability – Senyo Hosi on Fordjour Incident

Economic Policy Analyst Senyo Hosi has added his voice to the debate surrounding the attempted arrest of Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, suggesting that while the Assin South MP may have had legitimate concerns, his handling of the matter left much to be desired.

“I believe he had some basis to raise the issues he did. He very much did but his modus operandi was not. That said, his modus operandi wasn’t optimal,” Hosi stated during an interview on Newsfile.

He emphasized the importance of tact and procedure in situations that carry national sensitivity, cautioning that poorly handled interventions can easily lead to public misunderstanding or inflame tensions.

“In matters this sensitive, it’s important to ensure one’s approach doesn’t fuel unnecessary tension or misinterpretation. The right procedure enhances credibility and safeguards national stability,” he said.

The controversy surrounding Rev. Fordjour, who also serves as a deputy minister, has sparked widespread discussion over the nature of his actions and the circumstances surrounding the reported attempt to arrest him. While some have come to his defense, others have criticized the way he managed the situation.
