Samini and Guru’s success motivated me to contest for SRC President

Ghanaian musician, Dr Cryme, has revealed what inspired him to contest as president of the Students Representative Council (SRC) at the Methodist University of Ghana.
Darlington Kwesi Agyekum, who is the President-Elect, said he was inspired by Samini and Guru’s successful elections at GIMPA and the University of Ghana, respectively.
“I would say that what my brother, Samini did at GIMPA and what Guru is currently doing at Legon has gone a long way to inspire me to also contest and win,” he revealed in an interview monitored by mynewsgh.com
“We obviously learn and take inspiration from those ahead of us, and so I heard about Samini’s SRC President victory at GIMPA through social media.
“But as for Guru, I was on the grounds throughout his campaign period with him, and I personally helped him share his message with the students at the halls of residence. So after Guru won massively, I was thinking about it, and I felt that if my brother has been able to achieve such a feat, why can’t I also do the same? So it really inspired me,” he explained in an interview on Property FM in Cape Coast.
