Sammy Gyamfi lands in trouble after doling out dollar bills in public to Nana Agradaa

National Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Acting Chief Executive Officer for the GoldBod, Sammy Gyamfi, has come under intense criticism from members of his political party, the opposition, and especially the middle class after he was captured doling out some dollar bills to Nana Agradaa.
The two were said to have met at a funeral when Agradaa approached Sammy Gyamfi to seek for forgiveness and also to relay a message to the president on the need to forgive her for some utterances.
In the video, the young man who was employed by the Ghana Gold Board is seen counting bills of dollars, which he doled out to Nana Agradaa.
There are concerns that this public display of cash goes contrary to the code of conduct launched by the president to check his appointees and to help fight corruption and ensure accountability.
To many, there’s more from where this is coming from, just as Cecilia Dapaah was found out to have cash stashed at her residence.
NDC foot soldiers have expressed concerns about the decision to dole out cash to Agradaa when they continue to wallow in poverty, adding that such issues may lead to them losing their goodwill with the Ghanaian people.
To them, if Sammy Gyamfi cannot be readily available to them, it is shocking that he gave money to Agradaa.
The middle class on social media have expressed disappointment in the Communications Officer of the governing NDC. To them, Sammy Gyamfi is a public servant and should certainly act as one.
