Satan, you don lose—Ebenezer Obey shuts down death rumours

Legendary Nigerian musician and evangelist, Professor Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi, has publicly debunked viral rumours about his death, stating categorically that he is alive, strong, and in good health.

In a spirited video that surfaced online on Monday, the veteran Juju maestro set the record straight with a blend of humour, faith, and defiance.

“Hello, my name is Professor Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi. Satan, you don lose o, Satan, you don lose o, you don pafuka. Na lie lie you dey talk, you don pafuka,” he declared joyfully, singing his version of spiritual victory over the false news.

Obey, who has spent decades ministering through music and preaching the gospel, further emphasized that the claims of his death are entirely fabricated.

“It is fake news that started a few hours ago claiming that I, Evangelist Obey, have passed on to glory. It is a lie. I am alive, and that is not the word Jesus has written,” he affirmed, dismissing the hoax with conviction.

Fans and fellow musicians who had been thrown into confusion earlier in the day breathed a collective sigh of relief following his appearance. Many took to social media to celebrate the living legend, who continues to inspire generations with both his music and message.

Professor Obey-Fabiyi, now in his early 80s, remains one of Nigeria’s most respected and beloved cultural icons.
