A leading member of the New Patriotic Party’s Communications team, Kofi Tonto hopes the president of Ghana learns not to politicize everything just because of power.
He is of the view that to win the election in 2024, President John Dramani Mahama made sure he infiltrated the system with politics.
John Dramani Mahama politicized everything, including the Bawku conflict.
He is reported to have said that the Bawku conflict only escalates when the NPP is in power.
However, recent occurrences in Bawku have pointed to the fact that the conflict knows no color.
Several persons have lost their lives, while properties of the Member of Parliament, the Ghana Police Service, among others have been torched.
In a post shared via social media, Kofi Tonto indicated that such developments should educate the president on the need not to politicize everything just because of power.
His post read “Mahama politicized everything for power. But I hope he learns this time around and departs from divisive comments that have the potential to turn this country upside down”.
