Former Assin Central Member of Parliament Kennedy Agyapong has debunked claims linking Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to the security guy who stabbed a KNUST student in Kumasi.
According to him, the young man who stabbed the student is part of a security detail of Ali Suraj.
Kennedy Agyapong indicated that the said security of Ali Suraj joined the team in Kumasi and has not been part of the team that has been on tour in some parts of the country.
“One of my friends gave the students Ghc 1000 to share, but when the money was given to them, one of the security guys, Ali Suraj brought took the money from the students. The students were arguing with them so they gave warning shots. Even before they entered they displayed a gun to scare them. They are so intolerant.
The person who stabbed the student is a so-called security guard Ali Suraj brought. I know Bawumia’s security and I talk to them and have hearty conversations with. We have been with them throughout this tour. It is only in Kumasi that Ali Suraj brought these guys to come and destroy the party. I don’t know his role in the party, I only know Ali Suraj from America but he has become big in the party in Ghana,” he said.
