Shameless Wontumi should’ve resigned after failing NPP in Ashanti region—Addai Nimo

A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Addai Nimo, holds the view that the Ashanti Regional Chairman is not fit to contest for the position of National Chairman in the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to him, Wontumi lacks the moral right to contest for the position, especially after he failed to achieve his promise of securing all 47 seats in the Ashanti region as promised.
To him, Wontumi should have resigned from his position by now after failing woefully in the 2024 election.
“You, Wontumi, promised to secure all 47 seats in the Ashanti region, or you’ll resign. However, when you were unable to secure the 47 seats, you did not resign, but you want to contest for the National Chairman position,” he told UTV
He continued, “What’s even more worrying is the fact that the NDC now has 7 seats in the Ashanti Region. You are not shy about this failure, but you are in a race for the National Chairman. This is shameful.”
