Signs of recovery are obvious – Ato Forson declares in mid-year budget review

Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has touted the swift economic gains made under the Mahama administration, declaring that in less than 200 days, the government has restored clarity, certainty, and stability to Ghana’s economic direction.
Delivering the 2025 Mid-Year Budget Review in Parliament on Thursday, July 24, Dr. Forson said targeted interventions implemented since January have started to yield real results.
“In less than 200 days, we have brought back clarity, certainty, stability and purpose to our economic policy in the nation,” he announced. “We have made significant progress and the signs of recovery are obvious, evident, noticeable and visible, tangible — and they are being felt.”
Dr. Forson indicated that the administration’s approach was deliberate and disciplined, designed to arrest economic decline and restore investor and citizen confidence.
With rising optimism, the Finance Minister’s message is likely to fuel expectations for deeper reforms and sustained growth in the second half of the year.
