Solomon Owusu slams judiciary over ‘injustice’

Former NPP member Solomon Owusu has blasted the judiciary, the Ghanaian legal system, and former Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo, accusing her and others in positions of power of perpetuating injustice and failing the younger generation.
Speaking in an interview on GHOne TV monitored by Mynewsgh.com, Solomon expressed frustration over what he described as systemic unfairness and questionable decisions within the judicial service.
Addressing the Francis Baiden case, he questioned how the Deputy Director of ICT at the Judicial Service was allegedly “wrongly accused” despite evidence showing otherwise.
“You accused him wrongly that he attempted something with evidence. You set up a committee. When the committee went into the matter, they realised that natural harassment had happened and recommended the reinstatement of the gentleman,” Solomon alleged.
However, he criticised the response that followed, accusing authorities of mishandling the committee’s recommendations:
“While you factored the recommendation from the committee, you sent this gentleman all the way to Tamale to be in charge of court processes — something that he has no clue about. Go and ask lawyer Suji Ambo and a lot of judges. She transferred them. Hey, things have happened. So you should allow us to live in peace.”
