Sonnie Badu hails Shatta Wale’s record-breaking show

Ghanaian gospel musician Evangelist Sonnie Badu has congratulated Shatta Wale for pulling what he described as the largest crowd he has ever witnessed at ShattaFest.

Speaking on his admiration for the event, Mr Badu said, “For now, I cannot break this record. I would need to stay in Ghana for at least a year to properly advertise my show. Shatta Wale stays here, so it was easier for him to pull the crowd.”

He praised the scale and spectacle of the event, noting that he had never seen Independence Square stretched to the streets like that.

“I know pastors have done crusades there, but to fill it out like this was magical. As a colleague, I had to congratulate him,” he said.

Evangelist Badu, who lives abroad, revealed plans to return to Ghana next year and hinted at staging his own large-scale show, saying, “I will use just six months to do a solid advertisement next year, we will see what God can do.”
