New IGP is the most senior and qualified for the job – Felix Kwakye Ofusu

Government spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofusu has justified the selection of the newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP), stating that he is the most experienced and suitable candidate for the role.

“He is the most qualified at this moment,” Kwakye Ofusu said in an interview on GHOne TV. monitored by MyNewsGh.

“He is the most senior police officer available, and he has demonstrated over the years that he has what it takes to lead the Ghana Police Service.”

According to Kwakye Ofusu, the newly appointed IGP has had a distinguished 40-year career in law enforcement, making him the ideal candidate to modernize and transform the service.

“With his experience, he will help make the police service more modern, effective, and responsive to Ghana’s security needs,” he added.

When asked about the motivation behind selecting this particular candidate, Kwakye Ofusu reiterated that his track record speaks for itself.

“He has proven himself over the years, and his leadership will ensure that the Ghana Police Service continues to uphold law and order while embracing modern policing strategies,” he said.
