Sports Minister commends IGP Dampare’s commitment to justice in Kotoko fan murder case

Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has lauded Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. George Akuffo Dampare for his active involvement in the ongoing investigation into the murder of an Asante Kotoko football fan.
Speaking in an interview with Starr FM, Adams expressed confidence in the police’s efforts but stressed that the case must be seen through to its logical conclusion.
“So far, I’m impressed with the interest the IGP has personally shown in this matter,” Adams stated. “We are not going to leave this case at just public comments and initial actions. The police have made arrests, and investigations and prosecutions are ongoing.“
He assured the public that no individual, regardless of their social or political status, would be shielded from accountability.
“We will not protect anyone involved in this crime—justice must be served,” he emphasized, reaffirming the Mahama administration’s commitment to upholding the rule of law.
The minister’s remarks come as public pressure mounts for swift and decisive action in the case. Authorities have assured that a thorough investigation is underway to bring those responsible to justice.
