Stop dragging NPP leaders into your family matter- Kennedy Agyapong warned

The Ashanti Regional Communication Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Paul Yandoh, has urged Kennedy Ohene Agyapong to refrain from involving party leaders in his ongoing feud with former Member of Parliament (MP) for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo.
Speaking on Angel FM Kumasi, Mr. Yandoh described the dispute between Mr. Agyapong and Adwoa Safo as a “family matter” that should be resolved internally without destabilising the party.
According to him, Kennedy Agyapong appears deeply pained by past experiences, which he says are now being projected onto the party and its leadership. He argued that any bitterness Mr. Agyapong may harbour from his time working with former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo should not be transferred onto younger party members who are still building their political careers.
“We were not there when he was working for Akufo-Addo,” Mr. Yandoh said, stressing that the younger generation within the NPP should not suffer for grievances they had no part in creating.
He further criticised what he described as a pattern of threats in Mr. Agyapong’s public comments, noting that statements such as “you will see” are unnecessary, especially in the context of an internal party election. Mr. Yandoh emphasised that the NPP is a structured political organisation with established grievance procedures that must be respected.
Even where grievances exist, he insisted, party members must follow due process rather than resorting to public confrontations and threats.
Mr. Yandoh concluded by reminding party members and Kennedy Agyapong that the NPP is not a “small party” and called for discipline, unity, and adherence to internal mechanisms to resolve disputes.
