Nigerian singer Tems has offered new insight into her relationship with British rapper Dave, describing him as one of the few people she genuinely trusts in the industry.
She made the remarks during a BBC interview, where she was asked about the circle of people who have supported her.
When the journalist questioned whether Dave is part of that close-knit group, Tems responded simply, “Yes, he is.”
Explaining why he holds that place in her life, she highlighted his authenticity. “He’s just a real, genuine, honest person and he’s not someone that pretends. He’s very real,” she said.
Tems also recalled their studio session for “Rain Dance,” a collaboration fans have praised for its chemistry and synergy. She said the memory remains vivid.
“Do I remember the day we made ‘Rain Dance’? Yes, I do. Of course,” she said with a laugh. “It was fun, so much fun. We were literally getting down in the studio, doing all sorts of dances and vibing out.”
