Policy Analyst Dr. Steve Manteaw has acknowledged that the expectations of the current government are very high.
However, he is optimistic that the John Dramani Mahama-led administration will deliver for the people of Ghana.
To him, the president’s media encounter reassures the people of Ghana of the direction in which he is taking the country.
In a Facebook post after the president’s encounter, he said, “Expectations are high, but we trust you to deliver. Thanks for the reassurance.”
John Dramani Mahama addressed Ghana’s media on September 10, 2025, on very pertinent issues concerning the various aspects of the economy.
On the fight against galamsey, the president indicated that declaring a state of emergency should be the last resort, as there are several measures to resort to in the fight.
He also updated the country on the state of security and what his government has been doing to ensure that Ghanaians are safe.
