The arrest won’t stop me from criticizing Mahama’s bad governance

One of the New Patriotic Party’s social media activists, who was arrested and detained until he was released on Monday, August 18, 2025, says the arrest will not deter him from commenting on national issues.

He says this is a form of motivation to ginger him to expose the failings of the current government.

Fante Comedy, together with another lady, was picked up over threats on the president’s and his family’s lives during a Tiktok live session.

Although Fante Comedy issued a disclaimer and apologized to the president of Ghana for the unsavory comments.

He indicated that he had done nothing wrong to warrant his arrest in the first place.

“Finally, I am here. I am a politician, and I don’t have anything else to talk about than to talk about national issues. If you are unable to fulfil your promise to cocoa farmers, I will explain it.

If the government has a problem with a TikTokker, then there is no problem. I will keep talking about Mahama’s government because I did nothing wrong, I’ve not been given any contract and squandered the money,” he said after he was released from police custody.
