The facts are clear, it’s time for a new presidential jet – Comfort Doyoe

First Deputy Majority Whip, Comfort Doyoe, has stressed the urgent need for Ghana to invest in a new presidential jet, arguing that the country’s current fleet of aircraft is no longer reliable.

Doyoe urged Ghanaians to be truthful about the state of the presidential aircraft fleet and avoid politicizing such a sensitive national matter.

“Let’s be honest with ourselves,” she said. “Former Defence Minister, Dr. Omane Boamah, clearly stated that all the presidential jets, planes, helicopters, and choppers were experiencing issues and are currently under assessment.

“Then Mr. Dominic Nitiwul came out saying everything is in good condition, but the government simply chooses not to use them.”

She maintained that the facts speak for themselves and insisted that the debate over the condition of the aircraft must be grounded in truth rather than politics.

“We cannot keep politicizing everything. The reality is this: our presidential aircraft fleet is not in the best shape.

“Let’s face the facts and stop turning such serious national matters into political footballs,” she emphasized in an interview with Starr FM.
