One player who has generated headlines in recent times is Eddie Nketiah over his preparedness to represent Ghana.
There are calls from some quarters for his inclusion in the Black Stars squad for the 2026 World Cup.
In an interview with BBC Africa Sports, Nketiah has stated that there hasn’t been any fresh approach from the Ghana Football Association.
However, he is currently enjoying football at Crystal Palace.
Nketia, 26, is quoted to have said, “At the moment, I’m just enjoying my football with Crystal Palace; that has been my focus.”
He further added that “I’m Ghanaian, and there’s no denying that. I’m proud of my roots. I’m sure the future will take care of itself and what will be will be.”
