The growth of Volta Region depends on strong governance structures, others – Gunu tells Presiding Members, DCDs

The Volta Regional Minister Mr James Gunu on Wednesday, February 5 had a meeting with all District Coordinating Directors (DCDs) and Presiding Members (PMs) from across the Volta Region.

He said this interactive session was a crucial opportunity to discuss how they can collectively enhance governance, foster collaboration, and drive sustainable development in the region.

During our discussions, he emphasized the importance of effective leadership, coordination, and accountability in the assemblies.

“Our region’s growth depends on strong governance structures, improved service delivery, and the dedication of our hardworking teams at the district level,” he said.

Mr Gunu indicated that he was pleased to hear insightful contributions from our Coordinating Directors and Presiding Members, who shared their challenges and innovative ideas to enhance governance and administration in their respective districts.

Their commitment to the development of Volta Region is truly commendable, he said.

He assured them of his unwavering support in overcoming administrative hurdles and ensuring smooth governance across the region.

“Together, we will continue to work tirelessly to enhance public service efficiency and promote meaningful development.

“I am grateful for the dedication and passion displayed by all who participated in this meeting. These engagements will continue to be a priority, as we align our efforts towards a progressive, well-governed, and prosperous Volta Region. Let’s keep working together for the greater good of our people,” he said.
