Their sacrifice won’t be forgotten – Osman Ayariga mourns helicopter crash victims

Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Osman Ayariga, has expressed profound sorrow over the military helicopter crash in Adansi Akrofuom, Ashanti Region, that claimed eight lives, including two cabinet ministers.

In a heartfelt statement, Mr. Ayariga described the victims as patriots who served Ghana with “dedication, courage, and honour.”

“The brave individuals aboard that aircraft were serving their country with dedication, courage, and honour. Their untimely passing is not only a loss to their families, but a blow to the entire nation,” he said.

He extended his condolences to the bereaved families, friends, and colleagues of the fallen, calling the tragedy a devastating moment for the country.

“May the souls of the departed rest in perfect peace, and may their sacrifice never be forgotten,” he added.

The August 6 crash also claimed the lives of Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Environment Minister Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, and other senior officials and military officers who were on an official mission to Obuasi.
