Therapy could have saved my marriage to Halle Berry

Former MLB star David Justice has shared new details about his brief marriage to Halle Berry, revealing doubts that emerged soon after their whirlwind romance.
Justice and Berry wed in 1993, just months after meeting at an MTV celebrity baseball game, but divorced in 1997.
Speaking on the All The Smoke podcast, Justice admitted he entered the marriage with traditional expectations shaped by his Midwest upbringing, envisioning a wife who would “cook, clean” and embrace motherhood.
Berry’s different lifestyle and their demanding careers — which kept them apart for long stretches — quickly strained the relationship.
Justice recalled that Berry proposed just five months into dating, and though he accepted, he wasn’t certain his heart was in it.
Reflecting now, Justice believes therapy might have saved the marriage. “We honestly probably could have made it if we knew about therapy,” he said.
Their love story, intense but brief, ultimately could not overcome distance, career pressures, and mismatched expectations.
Halle Berry’s ex-husband, former MLB player David Justice, says he left because he couldn’t see her as the mother of his kids:
