Ghana’s Thomas Partey has concluded a deal to join Villarreal from Arsenal.
He is joining the club in a two-year deal.
Partey is expected to join the team on August 8, 2025, where he will be announced to the supporters.
Announcing his addition to the team, Villareal CF said in a social media post that “Villarreal CF and Thomas Partey have reached an agreement for the Ghanaian footballer to be linked to the Groguet outfit ahead of the current season 2025-26.. The player will join the dynamic of the team from tomorrow in the Sports City”.
Thomas Partey is currently the subject of a rape probe and is expected back in court on September 2, 2025, something the club is aware of.
He has been charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault for incidents that took place in 2021 to 2022.
Partey was in court on August 5 but was given conditional bail.
