Thomas Partey’s court hearing on rape charges adjourned again

The scheduled court appearance of Ghana international Thomas Partey on rape charges has been adjourned to September 15, 2025, after initially being set for Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the Harrow Crown Court in London.

According to reports, the adjournment gives the 32-year-old midfielder more time as he continues to fight five counts of rape and one charge of sexual assault filed by UK prosecutors.

The alleged incidents are said to have occurred between 2021 and 2022 during his time at Arsenal.

Partey, who joined the Premier League side from Atlético Madrid in 2020 for around £45 million, spent eight years with the Spanish club, making 188 appearances before his move to England.

Despite his ongoing legal battle, Partey is expected to join the Black Stars camp ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali.

Ghana faces Chad at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno on Thursday, September 4, before hosting Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, September 8, 2025.
