Finance Minister inaugurates Gold Board Tribunal

Ghana’s Finance Minister, Cassiel Ato Forson, PhD, has inaugurated the Ghana Gold Board Tribunal.
The tribunal, according to the minister, is in line with Section 55 of the Gold Board Act.
Made up of 3 persons, the tribunal, according to the minister, will consider appeals regarding a decision made by the Gold Board, a matter relating to a license issue under the law, or a decision of the Dispute Resolution Committee.
However, the government is yet to appoint a registrar and provide the necessary staff to support the effective functioning of the Tribunal.
