Titus Glover criticizes Supreme Court verdict on Kevin Taylor arrest warrant

Former Deputy Transport Minister and Member of Parliament for Tema East, Titus Nii Kwartei Glover, has strongly criticized the Supreme Court’s decision to quash the bench warrant issued for the arrest of controversial US-based Ghanaian commentator, Kevin Taylor.
Speaking on Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana monitored by MyNewsGh, Glover — a member of the now-opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) — expressed deep frustration with what he described as a dangerous precedent set by the court’s ruling.
According to him, Kevin Taylor has built a platform around insults and personal attacks, often targeting respected personalities in Ghana without facing consequences.
“This gentleman insults everyone without restraint. A typical example is the Okyenhene — a revered king. Kevin dragged him through the mud and said all sorts of things,” Glover fumed.
He traced the legal issues to comments Kevin Taylor made during the trial of the National Communications Authority (NCA) $4 million case. According to Glover, Taylor accused then-High Court judge Justice Eric Kyei Baffour of being promoted to the Court of Appeal to serve the interests of the NPP government — a comment Glover says “scandalized” the judiciary.
“This is a judge with integrity who has served well on the bench. The court wanted Kevin to come and justify that claim — instead, he stayed in America and kept throwing bombs on social media,” he said.
