Two arrested over Fuo shooting incident that claimed one life

The Northern Regional Police Command has arrested two more suspects in connection with the fatal shooting of Yakubu Mohammed Habib, which occurred on February 26, 2025, at Fuo, a suburb of Tamale in the Northern Region.

The suspects, identified as Abdul-Majeed Abdulai and Abdul-Majeed Saeed, were apprehended on Saturday, May 24, and Monday, May 26, 2025, respectively.

They had earlier been declared wanted by the police following ongoing investigations into the case.

According to the Ghana Police Service, two other suspects — Baba Habib and Alhassan Fuseini — were previously arrested and have already been arraigned before the court.

The arrest of the two additional suspects marks a significant step forward in the investigation as police continue efforts to ensure justice is served.

In a statement, the Ghana Police Service reiterated its commitment to pursuing all individuals involved in criminal activities and bringing them to justice.
