Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang back to work after brief illness

New photos circulating recently confirm that Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has made a full recovery and has returned to her official duties.
This comes after a brief period of medical attention and rest that had raised concerns among the public.
A dew days ago, President John Dramani Mahama provided an update on the Vice President’s health during the official launch of the government’s nationwide sanitary pad distribution initiative on Thursday, April 24, 2025.
Addressing her absence from the event, the President reassured Ghanaians that the Vice President is recuperating well and remains in good spirits.
“I wish to extend the greetings of Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang to all of you. I spoke to her yesterday and I told her we were going to miss her at this event because this is a programme that is very dear to her,” President Mahama said.
He added, “She said I should say hello to all of you and to say she is recuperating and catching a bit of rest. She is very well and soon she will join us to continue to prosecute the reset agenda.”
Vice President Opoku-Agyemang was reported to have suffered a sudden illness on Friday, March 28, 2025, after which she sought medical care at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) the following day after which she was sent abroad for further assessment.
