Diana Asamoah, a gospel singer and ardent supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), was involved in an unpleasant incident on Tuesday during the party’s rally in Kumasi.
Diana Asamoah was enthralling the crowd with her performance when she became momentarily sidetracked. Her phone was snatched during this momentary lapse.
The gospel singer quickly stopped performing to inform the audience that her phone had been stolen, clearly distressed.
Held at Jubilee Park, the purpose of the event was to present Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also referred to as NAPO, as the NPP’s running partner for the 2024 elections.
The incident emphasized the need for heightened security at such gatherings.
