The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the release of the 2024 WASSCE provisional results for private candidates.
According to a statement issued by the Council in Accra, the results are now accessible online at www.waecgh.org.
However, WAEC has urged candidates and the general public to remain vigilant against fraudsters who claim to upgrade results for a fee via mobile money.
“Candidates are to note that WAEC’s results database is well secured, and all results can be authenticated,” the statement read.
It further advised institutions and organisations to verify results directly from WAEC or use the online confirmation service at the official website.
This latest release marks the second in the 2024 WASSCE Private examination series, with 17,596 male and 21,131 female candidates registering for the exams.
However, 1,354 candidates failed to sit for the papers.
WAEC also disclosed that 303 candidates had their subject results withheld, while the entire results of 108 candidates were withheld pending investigations into suspected irregularities.
