We are following every lead, no rushed charges in financial probe

Deputy Attorney General Dr. Justice Srem-Sai has disclosed fresh details regarding the widening investigation into a high-profile financial scandal, revealing that authorities are facing new challenges due to a key suspect’s multiple Ghanaian passports and international connections.
“New intelligence shows he has multiple Ghanaian passports and access to other nationalities, making him a flight risk. This has forced us to reassess how we handle his case,” Dr. Srem-Sai stated during an interview on State of Affairs with Joshua Kodjo Mensah on GHOne TV.
His comments come as investigators continue to uncover new layers of financial transactions, extending the case beyond its initial scope. According to him, more individuals have been cautioned, and further arrests are expected.
“The public deserves to know what is happening. We are not in the business of making baseless accusations. Every update we provide is backed by substantial evidence,” he assured.
Dr. Srem-Sai also emphasized the thorough approach being taken by investigators, ensuring that all legal proceedings are based on solid proof.
“We are following every lead and taking our time to ensure that when charges are brought, they are backed by solid evidence,” he added.
