We are too rich to be poor

Nana Yaa Jantuah, a Presidential Staffer, has appealed for integrity and accountability in government, lamenting how mismanagement has left Ghanaians impoverished despite the country’s vast resources.

Jantuah expressed frustration over recurring cases of public fund misuse after every change in government.

“Every time there’s a new government, we hear that people have misused money. For how long?

“The people are poor and poor and poor. Why?” she asked during an interview on Speaking on Radio Mak monitored by MyNewsGh.

She stressed that Ghana’s wealth should benefit its citizens, not enrich a few. “We have resources in this country. It is for us.

Ghanaians shouldn’t be going abroad to clean toilets or be in detention camps when this country is rich,” she lamented.

Her comments, charged with emotion, painted a picture of a system that has repeatedly failed the people.

“Eight years in power and all we hear are reports of misuse. It has to stop,” she declared, calling for an end to the cycle of corruption that has crippled national development.
