We cannot be in power and still suffer – Billa Alamzy slams his own govt

Member of Parliament for Chana Paga, Nikyema Billa Alamzy, has expressed frustration at what he describes as neglect of his constituency despite his party being in government.
Speaking passionately, Alamzy questioned the government’s approach, insisting that residents of Chana Paga have been left without meaningful opportunities.
“We cannot be in power and we will still be suffering,” he said.
The MP further challenged the rationale behind government delegations visiting the constituency to express gratitude when little has been done to address their needs.
“In my constituency, Chana Paga constituency, what are they coming there to thank us for?
“You’ve not given us appointment, employment zero. What are you coming to thank us for?” he asked.
Alamzy stressed that instead of symbolic gestures, government should engage directly with constituents to understand and address pressing challenges.
“Come and let’s talk and know that this is what we need, this is what we are lacking. Our government cannot be in power and we will still be suffering,” he reiterated.
