Professor Titus Beyuo has urged Ghanaians to acknowledge the difference between the leadership of the NDC and the NPP, stressing that John Dramani Mahama has consistently demonstrated integrity and efficiency in governance.
“We cannot let this pass as ordinary. We must recognize the distinction between the NDC and the NPP when they are in government,” he said in an interview on GHOne TV monitored by MyNewsGH.
He praised the government’s efforts in running a lean administration, contrary to claims from the opposition. He argued that despite having fewer ministers than previous governments, Mahama’s administration still operates more efficiently.
“When we said we would run a lean government, they argued it meant appointing more people to the presidency.
“But we proved with data that even with over 88 ministers, they still had more appointees at the presidency and vice president’s office than we do,” he explained.
Prof. Beyuo also highlighted the success of the Finance Minister in creating alternative revenue sources without overburdening Ghanaians with taxes.
“They said we couldn’t support the budget without certain taxes, but the Finance Minister and his team worked to minimize losses and generate enough resources without relying on those taxes,” he said.
He emphasized that Mahama has delivered on every major promise he made, reinforcing his belief that the president’s commitment to governance is unmatched.
