We can’t pay GHC50 – Ghanaian man complains about high cost of prostitutes in Accra

A Ghanaian man has managed to create reactions after openly lamenting the rising cost of prostitutes during a street interview with Joy News.
In the viral clip, the unidentified man candidly expressed frustration over what he described as an unbearable increase in prices.
“My concern? Okay, we get the prostitutes. First, they were taking GHC20, and GHC10. Now, we don’t get some again. They are charging GHC50. I don’t get GHC50 to give them,” he told the reporter.
The man insisted that the situation was unfair and pleaded for a reduction in charges, arguing that the current rate was beyond his means.
“We for reduce, they for reduce all. Something for rest small. I beg, sister. Because I don’t have wife here. My home, I get wife,” he explained.
When asked if he had been patronizing prostitutes regularly, he admitted without hesitation: “For them. Yes. When they accept 10 Ghana, it’s better.”
Despite the humorous undertone of his comments, the man linked his hope for relief to President John Dramani Mahama’s leadership.
“It will be okay, because of President John Dramani Mahama. What he’s doing… even me myself, I like what Dramani is doing,” he added.
