We deserve better – Rapper Worlasi blasts Sammy Gyamfi over Agradaa dollar video

Ghanaian musician Worlasi has taken a bold stance against the Acting CEO of the Ghana Gold Board, Sammy Gyamfi, following the emergence of a controversial video that has stirred public outrage.

The footage, which shows Sammy Gyamfi handing a wad of US dollars to self-styled evangelist Patricia Oduro Koranteng, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has sparked heated conversations online — and Worlasi is not holding back.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the Nukata hitmaker expressed his disappointment in a series of emotionally charged posts.

Without mincing words, he questioned the judgment of the political class, particularly the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and called for a shift in how power is wielded in Ghana.

“Charley I don’t know Sammy but he sure looked like he has potential. Edey pain oh… plenty talents dey!! NDC Charley, you guys for switch up… the power all dey your dey. Use am make we all GROW… make we stop this tins!!!”

Worlasi’s frustration seemed to deepen in a follow-up post:

“Just when you start believing in someone, you get disappointed. I don’t know what it is with politicians, I don’t know whether it is money or what?

People are out there doing things in the name of Ghana, trying to put the name of Ghana out there. The Buz Stop Boys are there cleaning the country, but you took money to give Agradaa?
It’s painful. There are lots of talents out there.

NDC, you guys need to switch up. You are in power now. Use it so we all grow and stop these things.”

Worlasi’s comment is consonance with the growing list of Ghanaians who feel disillusioned by the country’s political elite, especially when public figures appear to align themselves with controversial characters like Agradaa — a figure who has faced repeated allegations of fraud and manipulation in the past.
