We must restore our moral compass – Kwabena Agyepong

Kwabena Agyepong is urging his party—and Ghana at large—to return to the foundational values of integrity, selflessness, and service.

The former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) delivered a powerful message about the current state of Ghanaian politics and the urgent need for reform on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show in an interview.

“We need to restore the moral compass of our politics,” he said firmly.

“If we don’t go back to the core values that brought us this far, the people’s trust in politics will continue to erode.”

The seasoned politician, who once served as the NPP’s General Secretary, didn’t shy away from addressing the growing influence of wealth and materialism in public life.

“We’ve let money rule us as a people,” he lamented.

“Many are living beyond their means, and that’s a serious concern for us as a country.”

Reflecting on his own experiences, Agyepong shared a personal truth that underscores his vision for a better Ghana.

“I’ve been in tough situations, and I know what it means to struggle,” he revealed.

“That’s why I believe it’s time for a new kind of Ghanaian politician—one who serves, not one who exploits.”
