New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwart Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong has issued a heartfelt apology to the party’s polling station executives and grassroots members for what he described as an “oversight” during the National Thank You Tour.

In a Facebook post, the Assin Central MP acknowledged that invitations were not extended to these critical party members who have been instrumental in the NPP’s successes.

“I wish to sincerely apologise, on behalf of NPP, for the oversight in not extending invitations to our dedicated Polling Station Executives and grassroots members during the National Thank You Tour.

“Your commitment remains the backbone of our great party, and we value your continued support,” Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong shared.

Days go, the 2024 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is set to embark on a nationwide “Thank You Tour” beginning Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from the party’s headquarters in Accra.

According to an official statement released by the NPP Headquarters on April 21, 2025, the tour will include Dr. Bawumia and key members of the party’s national leadership.

It aims to express “the sincere and heartfelt appreciation of the Party, the Presidential Candidate, and the campaign team to the rank-and-file of the Party, as well as the general public, for their unwavering support, encouragement, and commitment throughout the 2024 electoral period.”

The tour is anchored on the theme “In All Things, Give Thanks to God” (1 Thessalonians 5:18), and will culminate in national interfaith thanksgiving services that include both Christian and Islamic religious expressions, promoting a shared spirit of gratitude and reflection.

Dr. Bawumia emphasized the importance of the tour in a brief comment:

“This tour is not just about politics; it’s about saying thank you—genuinely and humbly—to everyone who stood by us. From the party foot soldiers to ordinary Ghanaians who believed in the vision we shared, we are grateful.”
