We will win in 2028 – Afenyo-Markin dares Mahama’s government

Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has declared that the opposition remains unwavering in the face of what he describes as politically motivated arrests and persecution under the Mahama administration.

“You can arrest all of us, but we will remain resolute. No amount of intimidation will break our spirit. In 2028, we will defeat you and restore true governance to this country,” Afenyo-Markin stated.

Speaking after the debate on the 2025 Budget Statement on Tuesday, March 25, he accused the government of using state institutions to suppress political opponents.

“A government that prioritises persecution over progress is bound to fail. Ghanaians are watching, and they will decide in 2028,” he asserted.

Afenyo-Markin urged his colleagues in the opposition to stay strong and not be discouraged, emphasizing their commitment to reclaiming power in the next elections.
