We’re contesting and winning Akwatia by-election to honour Dr Omane Boamah’s memory

Rashid Tanko-Computer, who is the Deputy Elections Director for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has indicated that the NDC will work hard to win the Akwatia by-election.

He says they will do it in the memory of Dr. Omane Boamah, who was passionate about winning the election.

Rashid Tanko-Computer, was speaking on the sidelines of the state funeral currently ongoing.

“Such a person who was passionate about winning that by-election, it will be in the right place for us to go and win that election in his glory to let him know that what he wanted we have achieved it for him,” he said.

“Already we were going in for the election because we believed that election was rigged by our opponents and we were contesting it in court to the extent that the member who we were contesting died midway so naturally, we have to go back and activate our processes that is why we elected our parliamentary candidate before the crash came in. We are saying that Omane designed the strategy for us in the morning before the crash, so we have to execute it and make sure that it comes to pass,” he said.

He used the opportunity to remind the family that they are available and will support them every step of the way.
