We’re focusing the debate on data, not hearsay — Mussa Dankwah

Pollster and Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah, has explained the purpose and structure of the regular political polls conducted by his organization, emphasising their role in shaping informed national conversations.
He clarified that their national polls are carried out quarterly, while more frequent delegate-focused polls are conducted in the lead-up to internal party primaries.
“We do quarterly national tracking polls every three months,” he stated in an interview on Channel One TV monitored by MyNewsGh.
“But in the case of the MPP, because their primary is just near, we are doing monthly delegate polls.”
Dankwah said the aim of these polls is not merely to predict outcomes but to give the public insight into collective opinions. “Your voice, when aggregated, becomes the voice of the people,” he explained.
“What we are doing is just bringing out what people are thinking and saying about national issues, and for the conversation to be kind of focused on data rather than hearsay.”
He added that delegate samples are carefully drawn from party registers to ensure representativeness.
“We have the register of MPP delegates with telephone numbers, and we place random calls depending on the sample size,” he noted.
“It’s proportionally weighted by region to make sure the results reflect the delegate population.”
Dankwah believes these polls inform both the public and political stakeholders, offering early insight into voter sentiments and party dynamics.
