We’re saying he’s corrupt – Martin Kpebu claps back at OSP after his release

Private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has renewed his corruption allegations against Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng, insisting he will not withdraw his claims despite his recent arrest and release.

Speaking to JoyNews on Thursday morning on his way to the OSP office, Kpebu maintained that he has more evidence to back his accusations.

“We’ve hit Kissi Agyebeng very hard… we’re saying he’s corrupt,” he said, adding that additional information continues to reach him. “Just this morning, I got more citizens coming to give me more information. So let’s give it a bit of time.”

Kpebu also expressed readiness for a public process, stating that transparency would strengthen his case. “If he likes, we should do the hearing on a live broadcast. You will see people bring even more information.”

He further described his arrest by the Office of the Special Prosecutor as “entirely unjustified,” alleging that it forms part of what he referred to as a “suicide mission” being pursued by Mr Agyebeng.

The OSP, however, rejected Kpebu’s claims and defended its actions. In a statement following his release on Wednesday, December 3, the office accused the lawyer of repeatedly disrespecting its security officers, insisting that his conduct necessitated their response.
