We’re still waiting for the discontinuation of YEA/Zoomlion contract

Investigative journalist Manasseh Azure has reminded the president of Ghana of his promise to discontinue the YEA/Zoomlion contract and review the many other sanitation contracts.
He believes that the nation must not continue to sink billions into corruption while the nation stinks, just because of the interests of one business.
Mansseh Azure made this known in a post shared via social media, where he praised the president of Ghana for the recognition and support given to Buz Stop Boys.
His post read “Dear President Mahama,
Thank you for recognising the Bus Stop Boys. With their bare hands and hearts full of service, they did not need to pay journalists and media houses to show us their impact. We see and appreciate them, and it’s heartwarming that you’ve recognised them at the relaunch of the National Sanitation Day (which I’ll address later).
Beyond their selfless service to Ghana, the Bus Stop Boys have proven that the solution to our sanitation challenges does not lie in the corruption-infested monopoly over government sanitation contracts enjoyed by Zoomlion and its sister companies since 2006.
Mr. President, Ghanaians are still waiting for you to act on your promise to discontinue the YEA/Zoomlion contract and review the many other contracts.
The nation must not continue to sink billions into corruption while our nation stinks, just because of the interests of one business.
Sincerely yours,
Manasseh Azure Awuni
