We’re willing to work, but implement our COS first—nurses to Gov’t

The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association has informed the government of their readiness to work.
According to them, all they need is the implementation of their condition of service, and they will be back in the ward.
In a post shared via social media, they indicated that they are not asking too much from the government, but their safety as nurses, which should not be hard to get.
Their post read, “The ordinary nurse/midwife is willing to work, all we are asking for is implementation of an agreed COS to make the workplace safe so we can continue to protect and save lives! #implementcosnow“
Meanwhile, the government of Ghana has tried several ways to meet the association halfway in dealing with the current impasse, which has proven futile.
The leadership of the association believes that they deserve to be accorded the needed respect by the government with the implementation of their condition of service.
The government is currently counting on Nurses who belong to other associations which have decided to go to the ward and work to save patients on admission.
